Since I'm using this blog for empowerment/encouragement, I would like to use
this post to allow everyone to post exercise tips, healthy recipes, frustrations, and ideas to support each other!! I'm loving the love so far, and I thank God for you all!!!
I suggest watching the documentary Forks over Knives for some motivation or inspiration on food choices and how they affect our health. It's really informative....it does lean towards not eating meat(which I agree isn't for everyone) but overall it just makes you think about what we are putting in our bodies. Watching health/food documentaries help me stay on track if I'm feeling like eating whatever, becasue like somebody said in the last post it's more about being healthy than the clothes size. That's just my little tip...
ReplyDeleteI will definitely watch that . . . IDK about no meat, lol . . . But, hey, I thought I couldn't go without a perm . . . and here I am three years later, happy to be nappy!!! Thanks for the suggestion!!
DeleteI watched Forks over Knives too... Very good documentary. I'm in this journey with you Billie. I'm trying to lose 100 pounds by my wedding day. 3.1.2013
ReplyDeleteI also want to be motivation for my dad who just a few months ago received a death sentence from his doctor if he does not lose weight.
Ok I finally got the chance to get on here. Thanks Billie for posting this so we can vent! Woosah! Ok so Tuesday I weighted in at work for the Biggest Loser competition where we have to lose 7% of our weight in 8 weeks in order to win all the money. So I have to lose 17.8 pounds! Please tell me why I only lose 1.5 pounds!! I was like what?? She said well you didn't gain. I said do you know how hard I try just to see 1.5 pounds in 2 weeks!!! I was hot! But i felt a little better today trying on clothes and they are getting a little loose so I can definitely tell Im loosing inches. Oh and I went down a bra size (need to go down a couple more)...Ok I'm done venting! As for helpful tips, my mom and I use MyFitnessPal android app and it helps so much with counting calories and making sure you stay within 1500 a day! Ok good night everyone!! Stay motivated!
